We are Jeff and Sandy Bricker and we would like to welcome you to Hearthstone Manor Independent and Assisted Living Communities.
First, we thought that you might like to know a little about us. After all, you or your family member may decide to live with us, and knowing whom you live with is important.
Jeff grew up in north central Ohio (Shelby to be exact) and earned his bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He received his master's degree in finance from Dusquesne University. Sandy grew up in Wayzata, Minnesota (it's near Minneapolis) and graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor's degree in comparative government.
We began our careers in the retirement industry in the 1970s as consultants to existing retirement communities.  The knowledge we gained allowed us to create the Hearthstone Manor communities.  We have two locations -- one in northwestern Lancaster County within the Borough of Mount Joy and one in the heart of Lebanon County in South Lebanon Township just outside of the City of Lebanon.

We chose these locations because the Bricker family has deep roots in eastern Pennsylvania. Peter Bricker, the original settler, received a land grant from William Penn in 1732. The sandstone home that he and his wife Elizabeth built still stands just outside of the Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area, and Brickerville is named after him.
We belong to Trinity Lutheran Church in Mount Joy. Jeff is a member of the Mount Joy Rotary Club and Sandy is a member of the board of the Lancaster Museum of Art.  She is a past member of the boards of Hospice of Lancaster County, the Cornell Club, and Community Banks, which is now part of Susquehanna Bancshares. We live outside of Lititz, Pennsylvania with three Golden Retrievers, Isabelle, Cousteau, and Calypso, and two cats, Alley and Clancy.
